The central planners like to pretend they're the bosses when it comes to things like the automotive industry, and, unfortunately, we've seen a lot of automakers just go along with it initially without putting too much thought into what their real bosses, the consumers, really wanted. Hopefully for companies like Ford, it's a lesson learned.
