Bravo for your fascinating take on the Mafia compared to the State in the Godfather movies! The difference between viewing films as a naive young man versus a cynical oldster never ceases to astonish.
Back when movies still had a message. The scene you linked was one of my favorite scenes when Michael replied to Kay "Who's being naive Kay" when she suggested politicians don't kill anyone. I actually linked that as well on my website a while back Linking once again @https://nothingnewunderthesun2016.com/
The sun rose slowly while burning through the dawns' mist on the African plain thousands of years ago. It awakened a man from a fitful sleep. He had been guarding a kill from the prior days' hunt from predators of all types. A friend who had been performing the same duty nearby approached and suggested that they ally and take turns sleeping. At last a large man appeared and said he would guard both kills for a piece of the meat. Thus was born government and tyranny has never been eluded.
More accurate is probably "The Sopranos" inhabited by not a single redeeming character. Terrible to watch and I will probably never watch it again and can't understand why it was so popular. "The Godfather" glorified people who were basically thugs.

Thanks, Kurt...glad you liked it!

Coppola did NOT read Rothbard. People who've read Rothbard say they have, with justified pride.
(I have.)
