I've admittedly never seen nor read Jurassic Park, but now I might just give the novel a spin - I've historically been a reader as opposed to a movie watcher. Anyway, it's curious, though, that I've often had similar discussions with others who are 1,000 percent convinced the Earth is in jeopardy because of human action.
My answer to their concerns that human action will destroy the Earth is identical to the following, "The Earth has been around for about 4.6 billion years, and it's gone through violent upheavals throughout its time, resulting in a constantly changing climate. Through all of it, neither the Earth nor life perished."
