This is one reason I'm so critical of the Woke and DEI movements that run rampant these days. Advocates in such politics, and, by extension, identity politics, fail to realize their own hypocrisy when they're grouping people together and marking them with specific characteristics based on one's skin color, ethnicity, and heritage.
For those of us who are of European descent, especially Christian men, we're literally at the bottom of these peoples' pyramids because they've, in their own subjective minds, convinced themselves and others that we're these racist, power-hungry people who should take responsibility for colonialism, war, etc. of yesteryear.
The entire mentality makes zero sense, and it's based on nothing more than a culture of envy. At the end of the day, whether they want to admit it or not, it's nothing more than neo-Marxism in its worst form. Basing people on what they are as opposed to who they are because their race has, historically in the West, been successful.
If these people just looked inward as opposed to unleashing their energy on envy, they'd be in a much better place. But, alas, they don't.
Collectivism is one of the great evils of civilization of which Woke is just the latest incarnation.
My wife and I watched Trading Places on Christmas Eve and had a blast.
