@Jon Miltimore

those so-called mistakes were not mistakes, they were deliberate actions. when you promote mistakes and unintentional consequences you give the actors the out they wanna take. please stop fantasising that these actors are incompetent or stupid. please recognise that they acted maliciously.

I think you'll concede that the Covid tyrants consisted of two groups. Some new what they were doing; others were fools who actually thought they were helping.

2 groups? People appointed by President Trumps did what he wanted, to make him look good, or they got fired.

You know who paid the price for the 2 groups of “tyrants,” aka the far left and the far right? Those of us on the frontline who weren’t given a choice.

I regard malice as a first reasonable explanation even if incompetence and/or stupidity are/is involved.

other explanations may be possible. I stipulate that there may be fools that thought they were helping.

I prefer the first explanation.

And he did answer the question. Rep Kiley sounded like an immature child.

As a frontline healthcare worker, of course it saved lives! Even if it saved a small percentage of lives, it was worth it. Those 2 year old walking petri dishes spread germs like crazy. Your mask protected me. My mask protected you. You want to tell the lady checking out your groceries that it’s not only ok but the right of your 2 year old to pass something to her to take home to an immune compromised family member?

Your right to wear a mask or not shouldn’t be more important than my right to stay the safest I can be.

I’d give you my take on it but I don’t fit into one of the two groups you want to attach me to.

If it saved lives, Becerra should have been able to offer evidence. That's how science works.

Instead, he provided nothing.

And I'm not attaching you to any group. :-)

Hey Jon. By no means do I mean any disrespect old friend. I enjoy everything you write regardless or not if I don’t always agree. More often than not, however, I do.

Just sharing my take. I think we need good debate while also keeping open minds. I respect differing opinions and respect each person’s right to state their opinion. I am hopeful mine will be given the same respect. (It’s the internet. I know better.) 😉

I’ve enjoyed each article since subscribing! Congratulations on some great work. I wish you continue success! ~Trish

Thanks for the kind words, Trish.

I'm so glad you subscribed!

It's ok that you don't agree with everything I do. That's how it works, and I don't get bothered when people disagree with me.

We need more discourse on these subjects, not less, and people with the courage to challenge ideas and one another.

We didn't have enough people doing that the last few years, in my opinion, and that created a lot of these problems.

Take Care, friend!

Jon

I’d hope not. I don’t think of myself as a Covid tyrant. 😉 I was just a front line healthcare worker that saw the people who were sick. They weren’t just part of a statistic. My point being, this was a world wide healthcare crisis, not a pissing match between the far left or the far right.
