I'm not a fan of video games, although my son is. Nonetheless, your discussion of the underpinnings of capitalism would make Ludwig von Mises and Friedrich Hayek proud.

There's an amazing story in "The Dead Hand" about trying to help Russians set up a bicycle factory in a defunct USSR munitions plant after the fall and the struggles to convey capitalism to lifetime socialists. Thankfully they wanted to learn.

After enduring much begging, my dad bought us ‘Pong’ , mid 70s? I think we wore it out, or oxidation did it’s thing. But by ‘79, my sights were set on that fabulous Apple II. I borrowed $600 from my older sister and used all of my own savings (~$900) to purchase it for what in today’s dollars would be somewhere around $5,000. My friends had cars, I had a machine of magnificence that could load software off of a cassette, and give me hours of.....Space Invaders!! The game paddle’s small button became painful, though, and I went to Radio Shack for a much more comfortable button, and after a bit of reaming and soldering, I was set.
