Jerome Jerome's "Three Men in a Boat" contains one of the most glorious passages in literature, when a restless narrator feels something powerful as he stands alone before the wonders of Creation.
It's a short, easy read. It's well worth the time for a handful of deep passages in what is otherwise a funny book about middle-aged men enjoying a trip outdoors.
