I never wrote a book, and never really mastered grammar. But I’ll always remember what my father told me when he read my papers for class. “Tell them what you’re going to tell them, tell them, then tell them what you told them.” I loved King’s books and read every one.

The man can write, and he has an amazing grasp on how to develop plot.
One thing I especially liked was his ability to write as people really talk to each other.
Agreed. It's much harder to do than people realize.
