Condolences for your tragic loss - 17 is way too young to die. Apologies for asking what may seem to be an incredibly insensitive question, but did your niece receive a Covid 19 vaccination? Fellow Substackers such as Mark Crispin Miller have documented a massive rise in “died suddenly” obituaries over the last few years, which also include a large subset of what appear to be “vaccidents” in which drivers experience a “medical emergency”, losing consciousness and control of their vehicles.

I am so very sorry for your family's immense loss. I can't even imagine the pain of losing someone so young, in the prime of her life. The only solace I can offer is that I am absolutely sure that God needed a pure angel's soul to help Him in Heaven. I'll be keeping you and your family in my prayers.

Jon, I am so terribly sorry for this incomprehensible grief. I hope all of you will take ALL the time necessary to ensure that when you resume "normal" life, you can do so with spirit and goodness Lucy did.

Thank you for sharing your loss, Jon.

For me, the ultimate Test, the final Exam, has always been LOSS.

What you have learned from the Lesson of Loss is Who You Are.

Let that be Love as Responsible Freedom.

Condolences. I had two siblings die very young (17 and 30) in ways that I will never understand how or why. No. 7 on your list... yes. Peace.
