So many people will support these types of plans because it looks like she's "doing something about it." But single family homes are not really a "market" anymore, in the true sense. 95% of home mortgages are guaranteed by the FedGov in some way (mainly through Freddie, Fannie, and other agencies). What housing (and the economy broadly) needs is a removal of government involvement, not added policies.
