Thank you - the events of the last few years have caused me to be much more of a student of world and US history and my eyes have really been opened. When we cannot self-govern (which naturally keeps government small and non-intrusive), it becomes the corrupt behemoth that it is now. Although what we are all living through is tragic, it is a reflection of the lack of inner morality of our very selves. Wasn't it Ben Franklin who answered, when asked what he had here, "A republic - IF YOU CAN KEEP IT."? Our Founders were prophets indeed.
