I love Shawshank Redemption. It's one of the rare times that a movie is even better than the great book (novella) that inspired it.
I'm still angry that Forrest Gump won an Oscar for Best Picture in 1994 because that year it was (in my not humble opinion) the 3rd best movie that year. 1st is Shawshank. 2nd is Pulp Fiction. 3rd was Gump.

I love all three of those movies, but I agree Shawshank is the best. Crazy that they all came out the same year.
